LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A follow-up to a Levelland story NewsChannel 11 broke Friday.
According to Hockley County Sheriff, David Kinney, Deputy Chief Gordon Bohannon was officially fired Monday. However, Narcotics Officer Jesse Quintanilla was only suspended with pay. Kinney says the reason he suspended Quintanilla is he doesn't have enough information to make a decision one way or the other.
The two deputies were arrested Friday along with 26 others for their alleged involvement in a methamphetamine drug trafficking ring in Hockley County. Court documents say methamphetamines were brought in from California and then sold around the South Plains.
