Shooting in S. Lubbock puts one in hospital and three behind bars

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - One person is hospitalized and three more are behind bars following a shooting in South Lubbock on Friday morning.

Police say 22-year-old Edward Lee got into an altercation around 2:00 a.m. Friday morning with several people in a pickup truck at 50th and University.

He allegedly followed the truck around the city until the driver stopped at 71st and Sherman near Lowery Field.

That is when police say someone in the truck shot him in the chest. Lee was taken to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Police saw the truck leaving the scene and followed it to 69th and Avenue W.

That is where they arrested three suspects, Philip Oxford, Justin Crouch, and Bobby Furr.

Officers also found a handgun in the truck.
