The death of a Lubbock baby has police investigating to find out what happened during the time a mother left her two children in the care of relatives. The incident happened two days after Christmas.
Sergeant Scott Farmer with the Lubbock Police Department, says the four month-old baby died at a house in the 700 block of 47th Street on December 27th. His twin brother remains in the hospital. The mother told police she left the twins in the care of relatives while she went to a laundry-mat. When she returned she found the dead baby next to the surviving twin in the crib. So far, no charges have been filed. Results of an autopsy will not be available for four to six weeks.
