Posted by Ben Lawson  - bio | email

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Andrews man who caused authorities to issue an Amber Alert on Wednesday is now behind bars.  KWES-TV in Midland reports that authorities arrested Jesse Jaramillo, 28 in Hobbs, New Mexico late Friday afternoon.

That is where authorities found his 9-month-old son, Jesse Jaramillo Junior on Wednesday. Police say earlier that day, Jaramillo broke into his ex-girlfriend's house, stabbed her and her boyfriend, and took off with Jaramillo Junior.

Jaramillo now faces aggravated assault and burglary charges.  Authorities say he could face more charges.
