LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock's official rain total Saturday night, as measured by the National Weather Service at the airport was seven-hundredths of an inch. There has been one report of storm damage last night in Lubbock. Lightning struck a house in the 92-hundred block of Genoa Avenue and started a small fire in the attic.
The National Weather Service only had one other report of damage and that was from the rural area around Dimmit; some power lines were knocked down. Also overnight, a little after 2 a.m. Sunday morning, another storm cell formed over eastern Lubbock County & far western Crosby County with reports of small hail in Idalou and short lived torrential rain in Lorenzo.
