2009 Lubbock Cattle Baron's Ball

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - This year marks the 27th year of the Lubbock Cattle Baron's Ball and the Ball will once again be held at the legendary V-8 Ranch.

The evening will begin with the blues performed by Jeff Strahan, a native West Texan from Lamesa. The headline entertainer, Lubbock-native Richie McDonald, will be sure to delight and dazzle, and you'll close out the evening with the "back-by-popular-demand" group Element.

There will also be a live auction, silent auction, martini  bar, and Las Vegas-Style Games & Rodeo. It's a fantastic setting for an innovative western party that is truly a "Little Bit of Texas, A Whole Lotta Hope."

The event is a major fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, raising $5 million to date. Proceeds will go to cancer research and local services like transportation, accomodations and support for area cancer patients.

For ticket information you can call the American Cancer Society Office at (806) 792-7128 or (click here).
