LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Don't wear flip flops in tall grass. That's the advice from Dr. David Smith who is a trauma surgeon. He reminds us that during the summer months, snakes could be anywhere.
"They could be in your garden, hiding under bushes, resting away from the sun. Don't approach a snake. Don't make the snake feel threatened," says Dr. Smith. He adds that just because it's a baby snake does not mean it's a baby bite. The little ones may have less venom but it is more potent.
