Albuquerque teen killed in accident near Muleshoe

MULESHOE, TX (KCBD) - An Albuquerque teen is dead after the car she was riding in was broadsided by an 18-wheeler. The accident happened near Muleshoe, around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Eric Zille, 15, failed to yield the right of way and was broadsided by the semi as he turned on to U.S. 84. Passenger Lizette Sandoval, 15, died in the crash.

Aerocare flew Zille to University Medical Center. His condition is unavailable.
