LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - He bonded out after his second appearance on NewsChannel 11's Most Wanted. Now this repeat offender is back in custody, after authorities say he led them on a brief chase through central Lubbock.

We moved Ernest Zavala, 26 over to the captured wall earlier this month after authorities arrested him right across the street from NewsChannel 11. Authorities issued more warrants for his arrest for organized crime on Wednesday, and now he faces more charges.

"Our warrants fugitive division got word that one of NewsChannel 11's Most Wanted suspects; they got a tip on where he was at. They were able to locate a suspect vehicle around 19th Street and Avenue Q.  There was a short pursuit that ended up here on Clovis Road and University Avenue. Ernest Cavalla was one of the suspects in the vehicle. As a deputy moved in to try to block him in, he tried to back out and one of our other responding units ran into the side of him," Lubbock County Sheriff's Lieutenant David Turner said.

Zavala is now held for organized crime. He also faces charges of evading arrest and drug charges. Authorities tell us they found marijuana and paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

They also arrested a second person at the scene. Tempestt Gomez, 21 is charged with organized crime as well.
