Allegations of child sexual assault cause angry confrontation

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock police had their hands full with a threat of violence Wednesday.  Police tell NewsChannel 11 that the families of two 12-year-old girls confronted two adult men at 1602 Avenue R.

The girls had been missing, but, according to police, the families found the girls with these two men.  And that's when the teenage girls claimed they were held against their will and sexually assaulted.

Police say one of the adult men showed a pellet gun in self defense.  So, a family member of the girls pulled out a real gun.  Police were able to get the angry crowd back under control with no report of injuries.  Then, police arrested the two men for sexual assault of a minor.  Late Wednesday, police identified them as Theodes Shells, 18, and Joshua Willis, 19.
