LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Citibus held a ribbon cutting Wednesday for ten new sheltered bus stops. And city officials got a chance to put those shelters to the test during today's rainfall.
"Everybody who chooses to ride Citibus should be provided the basic tenants of dignity," says City Councilmember Todd Klein. "And I think that's a bus shelter. I can say, just as one council member, that we're very excited about this."
Citibus spent about $26,000 for the ten new shelters.
