Minnesota lightning death a sad reminder

We know not to be around metal during an electrical storm, but what happened in Stillwater, Minnesota Tuesday is a sad reminder that trees are not safe during a storm either.

Taylor Zimmerman, 14, was killed Tuesday when she took cover from the rain. "She went outside to play and she stood underneath a tree. The lightning struck the tree and subsequently struck her," said Stillwater  Police Chief John Gannaway.

So this reminder - during a thunderstorm, the safe place to be is inside a building or a vehicle.
