Former Most Wanted suspect faces new charge of forgery

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - One of NewsChannel 11's Most Wanted faces a new charge of forgery. Police arrested 26-year-old Ernest Zavala Wednesday after he led them on a brief chase through central Lubbock.

Authorities issued a new warrant for organized crime against Zavala Wednesday. That's after he bonded out of jail on burglary charges. Now, Zavala is also charged with three counts of forgery. He also faces charges of evading arrest and possession of marijuana from Wednesday's pursuit. Zavala is jailed on a combined 155 thousand dollar bond.  

Sheriff's deputies also arrested Zavala's passenger, Tempestt Gomez, 21 is charged with organized crime, and possession.
