LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock Police administrators are commending an officer for his keen eye over night. They say Officer Dustin Tucker was investigating a disturbance at 19th and Avenue L shortly before 2:00 a.m. Friday, when he noticed a suspicious vehicle drive by with its trunk open.

The driver parked at 1912 Avenue L, and that is where he and a passenger got out and ran into an apartment. While they were gone, Officer Tucker spotted a flat screen television and a pair of bolt cutters in the trunk.

Upon further investigation, Tucker discovered the TV was stolen from the parts and service department of McGavock Nissan. Additional officers discovered a front window broken out at the dealership, and the empty spot where the television once was.

Officer Tucker located Manuel Juan Saldana, 30, and Cynthia Christine Zuniga, 33, inside the apartment complex and arrested them for the burglary. Both remained in the Lubbock County Jail Friday evening.
