Fructose and memory loss

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - New research finds eating lots of sugary food could impair your memory.

Scientists at Georgia State University fed rats a diet made of 60% fructose, a type of sugar found in many processed foods and drinks. They put the rats in water and tested their ability to find a submerged platform, and then two days later had them try to find the platforms again.

They found the rats fed fructose could not remember as well where the platform was, compared to rats fed a regular diet.
