LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Five men arrested in the Hockley County drug bust earlier this month appeared before a Lubbock Magistrate Wednesday. All five pleaded not guilty during their arraignment and detention hearings.
Jason Gutierrez and Jefferey Bayer were released on a personal recognizance bond and Earnest Flowers waived his detention hearing. Flowers, Hector Ramos and Steven Savell remain in custody. They face up to life in prison and a $4 million fine.
The trial date is set for September 22nd.
