Water main break in North Lubbock may slow traffic

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - You may run into some flooding in North Lubbock, but it's not due to Wednesday night's storms.

City crews are working to repair a water main break at the Clovis Highway and Gary Avenue intersection. The line that broke is to an old city well that has not been used.

No residents lost water in their homes, however, there are reports that two backyards were flooded.

The water is covering the road and a nearby field is submerged.

Officials told NewsChannel 11 that you are able to drive through that area, but use caution.
