Texas Tech-Baylor tickets go on sale Monday

LUBBOCK, Texas - Red Raider fans that are anxious to get their hands on tickets for Texas Tech's post-Thanksgiving clash with the Baylor Bears won't have to wait much longer as tickets go on sale to the public on Monday morning beginning at 8 a.m.

The Red Raiders will make their first-ever appearance in the new Cowboys Stadium (largest NFL venue ever constructed) in Arlington on Saturday, Nov. 28 when they take on the Baylor Bears.  The game in Arlington against the Bears will mark the first of two games against Baylor set for the DFW Metroplex.  Tech and Baylor will meet in Cotton Bowl Stadium during the 2010 season.

Tickets for the game can be purchased for as low as $40 with other locations priced at $60 and $100.  Texas Tech students can purchase two tickets (per student ID) for $25 each but must do so in person at the athletics ticket office located in the north end of Jones AT&T Stadium and present a valid TTU ID.

Season tickets also remain on sale and these packages include all seven home games and start at just $225.  Families can also take advantage of the new five-game family plan, which includes four reserved seats to the North Dakota, Rice, New Mexico, Kansas State and Kansas games in section 11 for $400. Each additional pack is $100. The minimum purchase is four seats.

Texas Tech opens the 2009 home season Sept. 5 against North Dakota and hosts Rice for the second non-conference home game Sept. 12 at Jones AT&T Stadium. The Red Raiders face New Mexico on Oct. 3 to wrap up the non-conference home slate. The home conference schedule gets underway with an Oct. 10 homecoming date against Kansas State, an Oct. 24 meeting with Texas A&M, and wraps up with Kansas on Oct. 31. The final home game of the season is scheduled for Nov. 21 when the Red Raiders face off with Oklahoma.
