Fire Destroys Vacant Apartment

On Sunday night a fire broke out at the Pecan Tree Apartments in the 1900 Block of 10th Street in Lubbock. It was reported about 10 p.m. as a mattress fire, but by the time firefighters arrived, smoke was pouring out of the apartment door.

The building was vacant, and the fire was put out quickly with no injuries.
