Fatal accident in Floyd County kills young girl - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A family mourns the death of a young girl after a fatal accident in Floyd County. 

Twelve-year-old Cassandra Wickware of Floydada died when a 1989 Chevy Pick-Up struck her bicycle crossing U.S.-82 about three miles East of Floydada. The driver, 58-year-old Juan Sanchez, also of Floydada, was traveling West on U.S.-82 when he hit Wickware around 3:45 p.m. Friday.

Doctors pronounced Wickware dead about three hours later at Mangold Memorial Hospital in Lockney. No word yet on any charges in the accident.
