LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A digital camera full of inappropriate pictures lands a Lubbock man behind bars. Police arrested Mitchell Turner, 55 just before 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Coronado Inn along Interstate-27.
Turner is charged with improper photography. Wal-Mart Security alerted police to Turner, after a customer caught him taking pictures of his wife on Saturday. Authorities report Turner had a digital camera in a case with a hole cut out for the lens, and two pieces of Velcro to keep it in place.
Investigators discovered multiple photographs taken at the South Plains Mall and Wal-Mart. They found several pictures of different people, including young children. Court papers state the photos included close-ups of people's buttocks, crotch and thigh areas.
Authorities say it appears the pictures are of a sexual nature and for sexual gratification. Wednesday night, Turner was jailed on $100,000 bond.
