LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Opening acts kicked-off the Bob Dylan show in Lubbock about 5 p.m. Saturday evening. Willie Nelson, was scheduled to take the stage at 6:30, followed by John Mellencamp and Bob Dylan.
The gates to Jones AT&T Stadium opened around 4:30 Saturday afternoon, and the fans filled about 1,500 seats, but most fans don't know how much work goes into this production.
"Oh since yesterday at noon, and they worked until 12 o'clock in the evening, and then we came back at 7 this morning, and we will probably be here until 8 o'clock this evening," said Nigel James.
The Bob Dylan Show stage crew rolled into Lubbock Thursday afternoon and worked around the clock until they got everything ready. After the stage was set there was only one thing missing, the fans.
"Bob Dylan. We're excited about the whole concert but it's a once in a life time to see Bob Dylan," said Rosa DeLeon.
"We want to see Willie before, you know, the bucket list kicks in," said fan, Tina Park.
The show lasts until late Saturday night, and then by morning the whole crew will be on the road again.
