It's the electric egg cooker that cooks up to seven hard, medium or soft eggs. The makers claim "perfect eggs every time" and the unit is perfect because it pretty much is an egg. Looks like some kind of incubator, but I doubt the chickens are going to be very fond of it.

It comes with a couple of different trays for hard steamed eggs or poaching. You get a measuring cup so you add just the right amount of water for the boiling pan. You're supposed to turn it on after you add water, but we push things to the limit for our viewers.

The eggs need holes so they don't blow up your kitchen, so we tap egg holes and fill the seven slots. Thirteen minutes and two seconds later we have hard boiled eggs.

Now, you're supposed to wait for it to cool and stay clear of the steam venting hole because it gets very hot. After waiting a while and dousing the eggs in cold water, a few of us tried them. They were perfect hard boiled eggs, and the poaching process went just as well.

Does it work? We give the Egg Genie a "yes!"
