Sex offender staying in storage unit indicted

By James Clark | email

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A California man is indicted by a Lubbock federal grand jury.   Court records say Virgil Lane was staying in one of the storage units at Bullseye Storage in the 1600 block of 45th Street.   He's accused of not registering as a sex offender. Court records also say he was convicted in 1999 of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14.   Lane is no longer living in the storage facility as of June 13th. Instead he's in federal custody.

The same federal grand jury charges Ryan Anthony Camille of Lubbock with failure to register as a sex offender.   Federal court records show limited information about Camille's case.
