No charges yet in Levelland shooting case

Posted:

LEVELLAND, TX (KCBD) - No charges have been filed after a shooting Sunday in Levelland, and police say it looks like a case of self-defense.

Levelland authorities say 28-year-old Felipe Rodriguez broke into a home in the 1400 block of 9th Street. They also say 28-year-old Thomas Sanchez shot Rodriguez in the torso when he refused to leave the house.

Rodriguez was taken to a Lubbock hospital. His condition has not been released.

The case will go to the Hockley County grand jury to see what, if any, charges will be filed.
