Stuff the Bus Campaign handing out free school supplies

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The South Plains Food Bank is once again providing school supplies for children in need with the Stuff the Bus campaign.

The event started at 9:00 Friday morning at the South Plains Food Bank and the Stuff the Bus campaign will continue until the supplies run out.

Parents will need to get a note from the school stating that they qualify for the program, and it is not too late to do that.

For 19 years, the Lubbock community has been providing school supplies for children whose parents are not able to purchase the supplies themselves. The need for these schools supplies is expected to increase this year.

Last year, the SPFB handed out 4,000 sets of basic school supplies.

If you have questions or would like to donate to the South Plains Food Bank, call (806) 763-3003 or go by 4612 Locust Avenue in Lubbock.
