LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - For this swine flu update, remember everyone thought it would leave during the heat of the summer and then resurface in the fall? The CDC says it may not be as strong as it could be right now, but it's still circulating in the U.S.
So here's the official count, nearly 8,000 Americans have been hospitalized with H1-N1 and 500 have died. CDC officials say since young people continue to be the most affected, they are among the first who should get the swine flu vaccine when it becomes available.
Along with pregnant women, people with medical conditions that put them at risk for the flu and those caring for infants.
