Outgoing Sheriff honored by Lubbock neighborhood - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Outgoing Lubbock County Sheriff, David Gutierrez was honored Saturday by members of the Arnett Benson Neighborhood Association.

County Commissioner Gilbert Flores accepted the award on Gutierrez' behalf. The association honored Gutierrez for his continued dedication to the community during their 12th annual Drug Free, Gang Free Rally. Folks also took part in a health fair with a variety of screenings, including blood pressure tests.

The Arnett Benson Association is one of the city's longest running neighborhood associations. It started after the devastating 1970 tornado.
