LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Plainview woman pleads guilty in Lubbock federal court and agrees to pay back $57,441.75 of Social Security benefits. Sylvia Rylant admits theft of government property.
Court records indicate she lied about being separated from her husband to get disability payments. And those same court records also indicate she forged another person's signature on a Social Security form. She'll be sentenced at a later date to no more than 10 years in federal prison.
