Peggy Sue Gerron is headed to Clovis, NM


CLOVIS, NM (KCBD) - Peggy Sue will be returning to this year's Clovis Music Festival.

Peggy Sue was the inspiration for Buddy Holly's biggest hit, "Peggy Sue," as the Cricket's drummer Jerry Allison begged Buddy to change the lyrics in order to impress his then-girlfriend.

Peggy Sue is a celebrity speaker, radio host, author and columnist, and is constantly on demand for public appearances, television and radio shows, documentaries, print media interviews and celebrity Internet chat sessions.

Peggy Sue will be appearing at the Clovis Music Festival's concert on Thursday, September 10th.  Tickets for the event can be purchased online at or at the Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce offices 105 E. Grand Ave.
