Morning Lubbock Fire Declared Arson

The Lubbock Fire Marshal's office says an early morning fire was set on purpose. It happened inside a detached garage at 25th & Akron about 2 o'clock Friday morning.

Garrett Nelson, with the Fire Marshal's Office, says someone set a pile of newspapers on fire. No one was injured, but the fire did cause about 2-thousand dollars in damage.

Right now fire investigators are looking for a suspect, if you have information about who might have started the fire call the Lubbock Fire Marshal's Office at 775-2646.
