LUBBOCK, TX - The Big 12 Conference announced Wednesday that Texas Tech's early October matchup with New Mexico will be televised by FSN as part of the league's network package. The Oct. 3 game was originally scheduled to kickoff at 6 p.m., but will move up to 2:30 p.m.
The game is the third of the season scheduled for television as Tech's conference opener at Texas on Sept. 19 will air in ABC's 7 p.m. primetime slot and ESPN2 will broadcast the game at Houston on Sept. 26 at 8:15 p.m.
Texas Tech and New Mexico have a long-standing tradition of competition on the field with 40 matchups all-time between the two. The Red Raiders hold a 32-6-2 advantage and have won four of five meetings against the Lobos under Mike Leach.
