LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Thursday kicks off the 2009 United Way Campaign with the announcement of the company's goal.
"Our goal is going to be a two percent increase. In a year with challenging economic times, we believe that this community people of Lubbock and the Lubbock area they still believe in community and we're going beat a two percent increase," says United Way campaign chairman Matt Bumstead.
United Way says they unveiled the results of the campaigns from their jumpstart companies and they saw an increase of 122 percent of their goal.
