Post prison guard caught smuggling in goods - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

POST, TX (KCBD) - Federal agents used an undercover sting operation to find a prison guard who admits she broke the law. Aurora Vargas was a prison guard at the Dalby Unit in Post.

A prisoner agreed to help investigators by asking Vargas to smuggle money, a satellite radio, and an mp3 player into the prison. Vargas admits she did so in exchange for $100 and a gold necklace.

She'll be sentenced at a later date to no more than six months in jail.
