Lubbock County Seeking Architects to Build New Jail

Lubbock County Commissioners are moving full speed ahead on the $83 million jail project.

On Monday, commissioners decided they will begin advertising for architects to design the jail starting next month. County Commissioner Kenny Maines says the architecture firm selected will earn around $5 million on this project.

Proposals for the new jail will be accepted beginning February 1st.
