Concert name change complete after controversy

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - One week from Sunday is the Pedal to the Medal Concert.   In Lubbock, the event had been promoted under the name Bloody Holly.

Family of the late Buddy Holly raised objections.   A guitarist for one of the bands is now out with a medical condition so the promotional material had to be redone anyway, according to sponsor radio station KFMX.

The event is 4:30 next Sunday in the Lone Star Amphitheater.
