The Lubbock County man responsible for more than 100 dead pigs earlier this month turned himself in to authorities on Tuesday. Willard "Wade" Franklin was booked at the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office Tuesday morning. Tuesday night Franklin went free, after posting a $750 bond.
Franklin faces charges of Class-A Misdemeanor of animal cruelty in both Lubbock and Hockley Counties. That means with the combined charges, Franklin could spend a total of two years in jail and pay $8,000 in fines.
