Build a Bear
It's playtime and your children are looking for their beloved teddy bear. Just make sure they aren't playing with the Build a Bear. Build a Bear workshop is recalling 80,000 of it's stuffed bears because the bear's noses can be pulled or twisted off posing a choking hazard. The recalled bears include the Founding bear, seen on the left and the founding bear two seen on the right.
When it comes to taking a bath, make sure your kids don't use their own soap-making kits pace products is recalling "Soap Making for Kids". When heated, the soap can leak from the kit and burn. The kits were sold at schools through the Scholastic Book Clubs and Book Fairs since 1998.
Portable Wood Cribs
Before you put the baby to bed, check out your crib. Huf-Co and Even-Flo are recalling 364,000 portable wood cribs. If the assembly hardware isn't tight, the mattress support platform and mattress could fall to the floor.
There have been 41 reports of the mattresses falling through the cribs of those 17 children suffered bumps, bruises or scratches. The wooden cribs are smaller than traditional baby cribs. Most of them were sold under the Gerry Brand name. Others were sold under the Even-Flo name.
The cribs were sold between January 1991 and December 2002 for about $99. If you own one of these cribs, call 1-800-582-9359 for a free upgrade kit.
