Historical addition soon to be on exhibit at Buddy Holly Center

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Buddy Holly Center has a new addition to the permanent collection of Buddy Holly memorabilia.

Buddy Holly's bedroom suite from his childhood home has made its way back to Lubbock.

The furniture was delivered to on Wednesday. The suite, from around 1955, consists of a mattress, box springs, side rails, headboard, dresser and a mirror. The furniture was in Holly's room as a teenager and stayed there until the early 90's.

The furniture was purchased by Civic Lubbock, Inc. from a private collector in Wisconsin and will be on permanent loan to the Center. The bedroom suite will be on exhibit in the near future.
