Police Investigate Shots Fired in East Lubbock

Lubbock Police Officers stayed busy Thursday night in East Lubbock. It all started around eight o'clock when officers were pursuing a stolen vehicle, when they heard shots fired. They travelled to 1800 East Amherst to investigate.

In the meantime someone tried to leave the scene crashed into another car, then ran from the scene. Police apprehended both men, then heard more shots fired, around 900 Nutmeg Street.

When they arrived, they pursued yet another vehicle leaving the scene. The police began another pursuit, until the vehicle ended up in the yard of a house at 2700 East Colgate. The driver also tried to get away, but was quickly apprehended.

A total of three black males were arrested, and now face charges of evading arrest. Police found some shell casings in the area, but have yet to find a shooter or anyone injured.

Police continue to monitor the area.
