Thunder In The Canyon continues - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

BUFFALO SPRINGS LAKE, TX (KCBD) - A lot of people chose to stay close to home this Labor Day, and many enjoyed 'Thunder In The Canyon' at Buffalo Springs Lake.  Qualifying for the drag boat races took place Saturday.

Besides the boat races, folks also enjoyed barbecues and camping. "Hanging out with my friends, having a good time, enjoying the boat races," Brandon Brown said. 

'Thunder In The Canyon' is a three day event that ends Sunday with the finals followed by an awards ceremony.
