Price of a parking ticket likely to go up in Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The price of a parking ticket in Lubbock is about to go up.  

Right now, an ordinary overtime parking ticket is $8. But on Thursday City Council will consider adding a $5 surcharge and that will bring up cost to $13 per ticket.   If approved, the $5 surcharge will help offset the cost of the city's crossing guard program.
