Three dead this weekend after two separate incidents

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A head-on collision near Andrews kills two area men and injures four others. DPS accident investigators say Felix Jaramillo, 31, of Seminole crossed the median on FM 1788 around 11:15 Saturday night. His pick-up slammed into another pick-up killing Michael Wayne Smith, 35, of Levelland and Cody Lee Halliburton, 52, of Lubbock. Three other men in the truck were injured. Will Rogers of Lubbock is in critical condition at University Medical Center. Larry Burnett, 50, of Lubbock is in critical condition at Covenant Medical Center. Tim Demel of Levelland is in serious condition at an Odessa hospital. Jaramillo, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered serious injuries.

Separately, a Plainview motorcyclist has died after an accident there Thursday morning. Francisco Pedroza, 59, lost control of his bike when swerving to avoid hitting a car coming into his lane.   Pedroza was not wearing a helmet and was thrown from his bike.   He was airlifted to Covenant Medical center where he died Saturday.
