Family asks for prayers following wreck

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock family you've seen in the news asks for your prayers again. Joe Bill Rogers tells NewsChannel 11 his son was a passenger in Saturday night's crash near Andrews.

Joe Bill and his wife Kathy are the parents of Joanna Rogers who sheriff's deputies recovered from the Lubbock landfill in October of 2006.

Michael Smith, 35, of Levelland and Cody Halliburton, 52, of Lubbock died in Saturday's crash. Rogers tells us his son William was riding in the truck with them, when the Department of Public Safety reports Felix Jaramillo, 31, of Seminole crossed the median of F.M. 1788 and slammed into their pick-up.

William suffered critical injuries, and he remained hospitalized in Lubbock Tuesday night. Two other passengers also suffered serious injuries.
