Progress made on Lake Alan Henry Pipeline project

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Lubbock City Council made a little bit of progress Thursday on the soon-to-be built water pipeline to Lake Alan Henry.

Thursday, the city hired an outside attorney to help get a settlement between the city and 19 Garza County landowners. The two sides disagree over how much the city should pay for the pipeline to cross people's property.

NewsChannel 11 has been told that the hiring of an attorney is actually good news - it means the two sides are close to an agreement and details just have to be worked out.
