LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Texas Commission on the Arts recently designated the Lubbock Cultural District as one of seven cultural districts in the state.
The State of Texas Cultural District Designation is a new initiative to encourage cities to use arts, culture, and entertainment for the purpose of economic and community development. Other cities receiving the cultural district designation are Austin, Denison, Huntsville, McAllen, San Angelo, and Winnsboro.
