LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - September is National Preparedness Month, so Saturday the South Plains Association of Governments hosted a community preparedness fair at the South Plains Mall to promote preparedness and safety.
"We want to offer people the opportunity to train and learn what to do when the disaster comes," Emergency Operation PLanner Rosalyn Martinez said. Organizers say you should have a disaster kit ready with things like copies of documents, contact numbers, and medication stored in a place that is easy to get it if you have to leave your home quickly.
