LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - All weekend, many are going out to enjoy one of Lubbock's largest events, the 21st Annual National Cowboy Symposium and Celebration. Saturday morning started with a parade followed by a chuck wagon cook-off and events lasting throughout the evening at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.

"The purpose of our organization and our event annually is to preserve and pass along our western heritage and American cowboy culture," National Cowboy Symposium Manager Monica Hightower said.  Tonight on NewsChannel 11 at 10 we'll introduce one man who is passing along the western and cowboy heritage.
