LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Levi King capital murder sentencing trial resumed Monday where the defense began its testimony.
The defense started its case by calling witnesses who have interacted with King. They called a jailer from Hemphill County and an investigator from the Missouri public defender's office.
The jailer testified King was well behaved and she told the jury that King is a deep thinker, humorous and likeable.
The prosecution argued that looks can be deceiving and you can't always tell what is going on in someone's mind.
The jury is watching a video deposition from a cook at a Missouri jail, where King was employed.
