LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech men's and women's cross country squads will host the 2009 Texas Tech Open at the Meadowbrook Golf Course on Fri., Sept. 14 with the race starting at 5 p.m.
The Red Raiders will be host to New Mexico Military Institute, South Plains, Wayland Baptist, West Texas A&M and a few more squads to be added. The deadline for entries is this Wed., Sept 16, at 12 p.m. The meet will have three races. The first will be an open mile, the next will be the women's 5K followed by the men's 8K.
Last year the women's race was won by the Lady Raiders and South Plains won the men's event. The race will begin at 5 p.m. and a preview of the Red Raiders and Lady Raiders squads will be out later this week.
